The Public Relations Director oversees all public relations
and fundraising activites, including April’s Luncheon/Fashion Show
Fundraiser and October’s “Response With A Heart” Luncheon honoring
the Law Enforcement Officers and “Take Back The Night”.
The
Outreach program provides a resource of information and training
materials on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault to the community
and is also available to make any presentations to professional
oraganizations in regard to the services provided by A Woman’s Place.
The
Volunteer Coordinator facilitates 80-hour training classes
for all volunteers and employees to meet mandated requirement for
crisis centers by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning. She oversees
volunteer assignments, information booths and speaks to the professional
organizations in regards to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
Presentations
to Junior and Senior High Schools are made by the Academic Outreach
Coordinator providing prevention information on Domestic Violence
and Sexual Assault geared towards teens.
Teen Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Survival Groups are also facilitated by the Coordinator.
