IN YOUR COMMUNITY"
What Volunteers Do
- Transport clients to group meetings.
- Head a children's group of activity.
- Provide court support or mediation.
- Clerical work in the office.
- Work on the 24-hour crisis line.
- Provide after hours advocacy at the hospital or police station.
- Pick up groceries or prescriptions for clients.
- Work in an informational booth.
REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Commit to work as a volunteer for one year and work a minimum
of 3 times a month.
- Complete 80 hours of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Training.
- Provide a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation
& proof of insurance.
- Provide a home telephone number.
- Provide a DMV printout and be willing to be fingerprinted.
- Attend one mandatory evening meeting a month.
- Possess a high school diploma.
