"JUST LETTING A VICTIM OF ABUSE KNOW YOU CARE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY"

What Volunteers Do…

  • Transport clients to group meetings.
  • Head a children's group of activity.
  • Provide court support or mediation.
  • Clerical work in the office.
  • Work on the 24-hour crisis line.
  • Provide after hours advocacy at the hospital or police station.
  • Pick up groceries or prescriptions for clients.
  • Work in an informational booth.

REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Commit to work as a volunteer for one year and work a minimum of 3 times a month.
  • Complete 80 hours of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Training.
  • Provide a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation & proof of insurance.
  • Provide a home telephone number.
  • Provide a DMV printout and be willing to be fingerprinted.
  • Attend one mandatory evening meeting a month.
  • Possess a high school diploma.
